Overview Program Description
The bachelor of medical laboratory technology is a 3 years integrated degree course (BMLT- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology).
The course aims to provide the candidate with adequate knowledge and skills to carry out routine laboratory diagnostic procedures and some sophisticated laboratory diagnostic procedures. They would have sufficient theoretical knowledge related to the principles of the laboratory exercises and also to deal with new advances in instrumentation, methodology or standardization, Management of Laboratories, Standard Protocols and use of technology related to Laboratory Investigations.
Medical laboratory technologists do laboratory testing under conditions. Technologists may prepare specimens and operate machines that automatically analyze samples.
Focus : Students are trained to acquire skills in various laboratories namely Microbiology, Pathology, Transfusion Medicine, Immunology and Biochemistry and Histopathology for diagnosis prophylaxis and treatment of the disease.
Eligibility: BMLT Pass in 10+2 or 12th Grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized Board, with minimum 45% aggregate marks.
Note :
Minimum age limit is 17 years.
Scholarship based admission also available.
Admission Procedure The admission is based on personal interview & merit based. The requirement of college for admissions in BMLT is minimum 45% in their intermediate (PCB).
